Research Partnerships

Bringing display advances rapidly to commercialisation through partnership

The secret of Pelikon’s success in commercialising our new display technology and bringing it to market so rapidly, is the Company's way of developing and building on its partnerships. As well as our close collaborative working with our customers and their design and engineering teams, Pelikon has formed development partnerships with important industry leaders in key research areas.

Pelikon is working in exciting key research areas with top UK University Departments-

  • Greenwich Univeristy - In-depth study of the behavioural characteristics of blue and green light emitting inorganic phosphors
  • Cambridge University - Study of the process of combining encapsulated Liquid Crystal and Electro-Luminescent components into a single printable bulk material

These research and development partnerships, and associated research programmes, are aimed at delivering a mix of both near to market and longer term technology enhancements, and gaining a fundamental understanding of the underlying light generation process.

For near to market programmes, bench-top, laboratory prototypes move rapidly to pilot production and then to qualification, providing our customers with commercial access to the most advanced plastic thick film display technology available.
