The Pelikon deposition process is carried out in a brand new 372m2, 10,000 class cleanroom (SI Class 7) with temperature and humidity control to ensure repeatable high quality displays. Assembly, die-cut, test and engineering processes are housed in a further 360m2 clean area.
Pelikon has multiple production lines with sheet feed equipment up to 1m2. In addition we have a purpose built multi-station machine web fed line designed to take a maximum in-feed web width of 610mm. The fully automated process provides dynamic alignment and allows both UV and thermal curing. The web fed line has a three stage oven for optimum curing. For both lines, the cured ink layer thickness ranges from 10 to 100µm, dependent on material type and screen mesh.
Lamination and dynamically controlled die-cutting gives your designers the maximum control over display colour and shape
Designed to minimise particulate contamination, the Pelikon Preco Laminator can laminate up to 250µm thick web and sheet fed PSA coated films (PC, PET & PVC) to our standard display panel substrate film, ITO coated PET.
The Preco 60 tonne hydraulic press has camera alignment and uses a compound press tool, which also accepts a simple low cost rule-die tool, which can be made extremely quickly, enabling rapid prototyping. Products can be cut and packed individually or ganged in convenient multiples for ease of handling as required by our customers’ manufacturing and product assembly process.
All products are marked using a unique identifying code which enables complete product tracking. Using an in-line inkjet coder synchronised with the die-cut process, all panels are discretely and uniquely identified with batch/lot number, product code, and a time/date mark. This ensures full traceability for ISO9000:2000.
