Environmental Policy
Pelikon are the market pioneers in interactive EL displays. Our proprietary and exclusive thick film technology allows the creation of thin, flexible and robust interfaces able to be shaped and molded to fit any surface topography. This has opened up a new avenue for industrial designers; where interactive surfaces no longer have to be flat or regular. Protection of the environment is inherent in our day to day manufacturing activities and is a fundamental part of our business ethics. Accordingly, we have developed an Environmental Management System that is based around ISO 14001. Our system is incorporated into all company operations thereby ensuring that we:
* Manage and minimise environmental risks identified in our manufacturing operations.
* Minimise waste in all areas of the business through continues monitoring and audits in the areas of base materials, utilities and non renewable energy.
* Maintain our 100% regulatory compliance record.
* Measure and report our environmental performance annually.
* Assess the environmental performance of key suppliers, co-operate with suppliers and customers to achieve higher environmental standards.
* Minimise energy usage through the monitoring and implementation of control systems that would reduce the company’s use of non renewable energy.
* Support the aims of Caerphilly and Cambridge Councils in improving and maintaining an environmentally sound infrastructure to the locality through the prevention of pollution.
We audit our operations for compliance with this policy, and measure progress made in our quest for continuous environmental improvement.
